Now for the Super Mario Maker 2 course in which we got a little too carried away!
Mushroom Kingdom Space Program
Play it for yourself!
A Little Background!
Well, something about our piece must have sparked our imagination, because we starting designing, and we did not stop designing until we used up every pixel of available space the editor allowed.
This course is long and detailed. Initial designs were based on our most popular Super Mario Maker 1 course, but we very quickly iterated out of doing a remake and harnessed all features the sequel had to offer.
The premise is simple; Toadette is tasked with sabotaging a few key components of the NX-1110 in order to keep it from leaving the ground. Infer what you will from why one of Mushroom Kingdom’s finest is attempting to set back her own space program, but we tend to think doing so will prevent some sort of catastrophic environmental catastrophe from occurring.
Then again, does anyone really trust Toadette?
Just kidding, she’s our main and will lead (almost) all of these videos.
We’ve attempted to add challenge not in the form of dangerous enemies or pits, but instead in more common construction hazards. There are a multitude of tight spaces forcing you to creatively duck, and you must navigate around ship components and personnel who seem concerned by your presence. We hope it’s not too frustrating.
Where the Heck is the TCTDU Room?
This one’s a bit of an open air (or lack thereof) TCTDU room. It’s not hard to find if you’re down for a bit of exploration, but it is a bit off the beaten path. We wouldn’t be surprised if you encountered it on your first playthrough. However, if you do not, here’s your one-and-only hint.
Look between two falls.
Just One Other Thing!
Starting next week we’ll add an audio commentary track to our videos! That seems to be the consensus by a large margin. We’re looking forward to lending our voice to these videos!
Fun. So, Tell Us Who’s Next?
Next up is Dave from Hear Dave Write!
On Monday we’ll launch his particularly creative piece on Master Chief from Halo!
There you go again, reading all the way through these articles and discovering the next piece. Go you!
