Super Specific Sunshine Award II

Let’s see if I can streamline this process! Award posts are just part of blogging, so no lengthy introductions. I’m just going to jump right in!

Thank you KT @ Wintendo 64 for nominating me for a Sunshine Award! You are awesome not only at blogging (and cosplay), but also for nominating me. The way I do things around here is by answering my given questions, then coming up with wacky, super specific questions of my own.

Q&A

What is the first video game you ever beat?
Kirby’s Adventure! I wrote an entire 3,000-word post about it.

Are you an online multiplayer gamer that’s in it to win it or hardcore solo player that’s playing for the story?
I play Poyo Poyo Tetris hardcore online, and I’m one of the best in Missouri! I also love playing Toon Link in competitive Super Smash Bros., though I’m a bit out of practice.

If you could have one fictional object from any fandom what would it be?
The Triforce!

What is one convention that you dream of going to?
Not really my bag, but I suppose I really should check out a Star Trek convention at some point.

What is your favorite way to share your blog posts?
I’ve become annoyingly obsessed with Instagram. Go follow me! I make pretty posts.

Are you more of a movie or TV show person? (follow up with your favorite!)
TV Shows forever – Star Trek: Deep Space Nine is my favorite of all time.

If a game like the Oasis from Ready Player One existed, would you make an original avatar or pick one from your favorite game? (which character would you choose??)
I would totally make my own. I’d be a blogger. The Oasis needs bloggers, right?

Why did you start blogging?
I… can’t remember. I think I just needed a place to write really crappy postsLuckily I’ve matured as a writer now.

Nominees!

To obtain a Normal Happenings Super Specific Sunshine Award, not to be confused with a Normal Sunshine Award or simply a Sunshine Award, the following ten of you are requested and required to answer my ten super specific questions in a separate blog post. Consider this your official invitation.

*Only one post is required to obtain this award.
**Not actually a real cat.
***Mirror Match!
****Bwahaha!
*****Otherwise known as “She Who Uses Too Many Commas.”

Super Specific Questions

If these sound familiar to anyone, I’m sure it’s just deja vu. They’re good questions, okay, and I didn’t do it quite right the first time around.

A new island chain suddenly forms in the south Pacific. Scientists, in the spirit of serendipity, need a name for the archipelago, so they run outside and grab the first person they see walking by. That person is you. What do you name the islands?

Find any grocery list you’ve ever written – on a post-in note, on your phone, in the trash can. What is the third item on that list?

Go to any mirror – doesn’t matter if there’s people around – and look at the bottom of your tongue. What is your immediate emotional reaction?

Let’s say you could suddenly make all the cable news stations cover animals with the same intensity they covered politics – all animals all the time! Which animal would you want them to focus exclusively on?

What is a random 11-letter word? I’ve already said mine – archipelago.

I’m still not particularly happy with my computer wallpaper. What should I change it to?

If you could only eat breakfast foods for lunch and lunch foods for breakfast, what would be your go-to breakfast? Your go-to lunch?

A bedbug bite forces you to have one of these useless superpowers.
Which of the following useless superpowers would choose and why?
– The ability to make only office supplies levitate.
– The ability to be invisible – but only inside a volcano.
– The ability to, at will, swap any picture on a billboard to a pumpkin.

Do you hate your initials? If you could have any initials, what would they be and why?

What is the most recent gum you chewed? Extrapolate a short story of five sentences or less with that gum as a central plot mechanic.

You are free to play in the comments! If I like your answer, I may nominate you for future awards. I look forward to seeing what kind of chaos ensues in the comments.

      1. Thank you for holding my ability to fit something big into a tiny space in a high regard, but this time I am inclined to disappoint, because I would really like to thank you properly, unless of course you wish me to fit my praise into “six words” .
p.s. I’m already thinking how I can answer all the question using six words…darn…

        and Congratulations ♥

  1. Dude, this is awesome! I can’t wait to answer your questions… Oh, wait. I was so excited I already did! I love reading about other people in these blog awards. I enjoy getting to know people a little better. Not just the games they play, but who they are. Thanks for sharing!

    1. You don’t have to do it, even though you’ll never obtain a Normal Happenings Super Specific Sunshine Award. What do you mean you don’t have time in between writing a paper on vampires, a paper on societal norms, and a thesis? Excuses excuses. 😛

And I love you too. 😀
